It would be my pleasure to put my extensive experience to work for you. Retired military (US Army) serving almost 22 years. One of my most memorable duties was that of a Drill Sergeant. I was able to shape and mold new Soldiers not only from a mental aspect but also from a physical one. I became a Master Fitness Trainer while in the military and later followed suit with a personal training certification. Having experienced military fitness training myself, I realized that while the training was good, it only provided the necessary things to pass the fitness tests. There was not much information provided to help people with overall fitness and nutrition and sustainment. Between military and civilian fitness training, I have over 16 years of experience. I believe that many people want to do better and live healthier lives but many do not know what to do or where to start. Providing that information and assistance to help them reach their goals and take ownership of their health is important. I believe being fit is not just physical. It is mental, emotional, and spiritual.
My approach to fitness and health with my clients is one of a partnership. We are working together to achieve a common goal. I focus on cardio, strength training, core strength, flexibility, and nutrition as well as positive thinking and attitude. The mind can be your best or worst ally. Many people will talk themselves out of anything and provide a mental obstacle to their success. I provide my clients with a support and accountability system. We all have our struggles and obstacles in some form or fashion. The key is to not let those struggles and challenges define you.
My philosophy to a healthy lifestyle is fitness and health is a journey. There are no quick fixes, only hard work, determination, consistency, and honesty. Fitness and healthy living should never be a hobby. It is a lifestyle. Transformation starts with the mind and the body will follow. I am a results oriented trainer and believe in the SMART principle when it comes to fitness and goal setting. Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Timely.”
